Programming analysis and evaluation processes.
2023 | Collaborated with Nonprofit Finance Fund to lead an internal programming audit process to determine ROI of TCG’s full menu of programs.
2022 | Led internal cross-departmental group of staff at TCG through a nearly yearlong collaborative process inspired by design thinking to overhaul the TCG National Conference in response to major shifts in the theatre field after COVID.
2021-2022 | Worked with staff across organizational departments to design and train staff in a rigorous, values-driven framework for internal program development.
2020 | Facilitated a cross-departmental staff process to determine TCG’s internal metrics for programming success based on David Grant’s The Social Profit Handbook methodology.

2023-2024 | Rebuilding Our Houses: Audience Engagement Working Groups; co-programmed and facilitated many sessions of this deep exploration process, and interviewed several speakers, on re-engaging and developing new theatre audiences after COVID.

2018 | Co-designed and led fieldwide Town Hall on sexual misconduct in the American Theatre at TCG’s 2018 National Conference in St. Louis.
2018 | Co-facilitated Women of TCG affinity space.
2018 | Co-designed, implemented and presented on TCG internal staff survey and report on work-life balance and workplace satisfaction.
2017 | Co-curated and led a Gender Equity Think Tank for the American Theatre.
2015 | Co-chaired and facilitated TCG’s internal EDI Workgroup.
Community-building.
2022 | We the People local initiative; co-facilitated multi-week community dialogue process to foster greater understanding and empathy among community members in a politically purple community in rural New York.

2015-2019 | TCG Conference facilitation team for How We Show Up and How We Move Forward session spaces, grounding delegates in a sense of community at the beginning and end of every Conference. View a virtual version here, from 2020.
2015-2017 | Co-facilitated caregiver affinity spaces for peer support at TCG National Conferences.

2022 | Inheritors Guest Curation Team; hands-on mentorship and facilitation with a council of young people invited to design and conduct dedicated programming at TCG National Conference: Pittsburgh.
2017-2022 | TCG Programming Councils; facilitator for collaborative process of programming design and feedback with revolving cohorts of cross-section of theatre practitioners.
2016-2020 | TCG Executive Leader Summits; facilitator for peer-driven planning process of annual executive leadership affinity spaces.
NOTE: I want to credit my former colleagues at TCG, in particular Corinna Schulenburg, Elena Chang, Hannah Fenlon and Dafina McMillan, along with arts industry collaborators of past and present, most notably Lisa Mount and Carmen Morgan, whose facilitation expertise informed my skill set in this area. The theatre field is abundant with wonderful facilitators and I’ve been fortunate to have observed and learned from many of them over the years.

As an avid writer, Devon has chronicled her life experiences and commented on current events in various blogs over the years, she’s contributed her writing here and there to other corners of the internet and co-wrote a play in which she also performed.
